    Computer Technician

    This position is both creative and rigorous by nature you need to think outside the box. We expect the candidate to be proactive and have a "get it done" spirit. To be successful, you will have solid solving problem skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Advanced Technical Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and standard business software (OS, MS Office 365, etc.). Serve as an escalation point for Level I technicians.

    • System Deployment & Imaging: Lead the setup, configuration, and imaging of new computer systems for employees, ensuring they are fully functional and compliant with company standards.

    • Hardware Repair & Maintenance: Perform in-depth hardware repairs, component replacements (motherboards, SSDs, RAM, power supplies), and preventive maintenance on company equipment.

    • Network & Connectivity Support: Troubleshoot and resolve intermediate-level network issues, including wired/wireless connectivity, IP configuration, VPN client support, and basic switch port diagnostics.

    • Asset & Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records in the IT Asset Management system. Manage hardware inventory, track lifecycle status, and assist with procurement processes.

    • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and update clear, detailed documentation for technical procedures, solutions, and FAQs. Mentor junior technicians and contribute to the team's knowledge base.

    • On-Site & Remote Support: Provide expert support both in-person and via remote tools, delivering a high standard of customer service to all end-users.

    • Security Compliance: Assist in enforcing IT security policies, including antivirus management, patch deployment, and user access controls.

    Required Qualifications & Must-Have Skills:

    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a computer technician, IT support specialist, or similar hands-on role.

    • Technical Proficiency:

      • Expert in diagnosing and repairing PC (Windows 10/11) and Mac hardware.

      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft 365/Office Suite, and Active Directory/Azure AD user management.

      • Experience with enterprise imaging and deployment tools (e.g., Microsoft MDT, SCCM, or Intune).

      • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and basic network troubleshooting.

    • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to methodically troubleshoot complex technical issues from start to resolution.

    • Certifications: At least one relevant industry certification is required (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Apple Certified Mac Technician).

    • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation, patience, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

    • Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously on assigned tickets while collaborating effectively within the IT team.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) ticketing systems like Jira, ServiceNow, or Freshservice.

    • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash) for task automation.

    • Exposure to mobile device management (MDM) platforms.

    • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare) with understanding of compliance standards.
